Love this! It combines some of my favorite things: silent films, the '20s, Edna Purviance, and true crime. What a time!

Posting this on twitter today for my fellow true crime aficionados. Now, off to practice my charleston moves.

And aside, my parents married in LA in '46, and were there when Elizabeth Short was murdered. My mother always talked about The Black Dahlia. Probably the beginnings of my interest in true crime!

Of course, I missed this lecture by quite some time, and I am not in LA, anyway... But! If I would have been in LA, I would absolutely have been there! Any chance it's on YouTube?

Regardless, I have just discovered your site and am really, really enjoying it. I discovered my love of all things LA, especially the noir-ish side, about seven years ago on a family roadtrip from Eugene, OR. I was never remotely interested before that, but was suddenly absolutely captivated. Your blog will certainly be another wonderful resource for my LA obsession!

All the best,
